About Peace by Piece
We started Peace by Piece because we kept seeing the same thing: families facing one of life's hardest moments, with a home full of memories to sort through and no one quite right to help them do it.
A house clearance company moves fast and asks few questions. A family member cares deeply but can't always be there. We sit in the space between — sorting and clearing a home in the way you would, if only you could.
Founded by Lisa and James, and supported by a trusted network of partners spanning life coaching, restoration and valuation, Peace by Piece offers something the market largely doesn't: a single, reliable point of contact who takes the whole thing off your hands, and handles every piece of it with care.

Lisa Story Vigar
CO-FOUNDER &
PROJECT LEAD
Lisa has spent twenty years solving complex problems for global organisations including HSBC, Unilever and Microsoft. Peace by Piece brings those same skills to something far more human. It grew from personal experience — helping friends and family through some of life's hardest transitions, and realising that what people needed wasn't a clearance company. It was someone they could trust completely to act on their behalf.
She is straightforward, thorough and quietly tenacious — and she won't let go until a job is done properly.

James Vigar
CO-FOUNDER &
ON-SITE LEAD
James spent over fifteen years as a Creative Director in London, working across agencies diverse in size, discipline and culture. He now writes for local Suffolk businesses — and, rather more light-heartedly, humorous fiction. He moved to Suffolk a decade ago, drawn by a love of the county he'd carried most of his life. Peace by Piece has been a long time coming — he and Lisa have been planning it for over a decade.
On a job, he is the steady hand. Unflappable, methodical and genuinely at ease with however long things take.

Where things find a new home
We believe that clearing a home responsibly means thinking carefully about where everything goes. Wherever possible, items that leave a property with us find a new purpose — sold, donated or recycled through trusted local and national organisations.
